I may not have everything I want in life

I may not have everything I want in life but I'm blessed enough to have all that I need! For this - I am grateful.
I may not have everything I want in life but I’m blessed enough to have all that I need! For this – I am grateful.

A wonderful day to all and welcome πŸ™‚ I was just outside talking with God and thanking Him for all the things and chances in life He has given me and just plain saying thanks for life in general. When I came across this post I thought it would be a good topic for today — and thoughts for every day!
Now just to summarize a few things about my life — I’m by no means well off but I do have family and friends πŸ™‚ I do have a place to hang my hat and my health permits me to work and pay my bills πŸ™‚
I’m even blessed enough to have my canine friend “Peter” whom is always happy to see me and is always ready to either go with if I ask or to just hang out and do whatever πŸ™‚ That old saying, that a dog is man’s best friend does have merit to it, although at times when I’m a scratching and petting him— I wonder whom the master really is πŸ™‚
I will also say that i’ve been able to do some traveling to different parts of the world during my life and have seen what i would say is poverty or really poor people and how they live.
The reason I bring this up is that once you have seen what real poverty is, it changes your view on the “I want” or “I need” situation. I wish it would be mandatory for all the youth when growing up, to have to do a mission trip to the truly poor places on this earth and spend some time helping the poor and truly needy.
For that matter – anyone who hasn’t seen these things – you see we who live in what we call civilized or modern cultures have no idea what they are talking about when they complain about their wants or needs.
It also should be mandatory for all to visit the truly sick and handicapped so they could realize how truly blessed one is and what circumstances some have to deal with in their life.
My favorite saying to those whom I hear complaining is that the complaint department is the next door down and they can’t miss it because its run by the blind gentleman who also lost both his legs in a car accident. The point usually comes across – I don’t want to hear it and I also don’t think God wants to either.
Now – the reason I’m saying these things is that I don’t hear much of “Thank you God for the necessities in life” or just how grateful people are for what they do have.
The reason I’m stating some of these things is that I want us all to look at what we do have and be thankful πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
Thank our Father above for every day we get to take a breath of life and enjoy just the simplest things that are the truly what’s important – family — friends – the opportunity to help others in need and to serve God but let us not forget the most important thing God and His Son have given to us all – the thanks that God gave us for the great privilege and opportunity of eternal happiness through His Son Jesus! Thank You πŸ™‚ Thank You πŸ™‚ and Thank You πŸ™‚

In ending – may you all have a blessed day ! and may we all be thankful for the truly important things in life
