Moral Rot Proverbs 28:2

A big welcome and a wonderful day on the planet to you all.
I wanted to talk about a subject that should be on all Christians’s minds and that’s the question of —- is it my duty and responsibility as a Christian to vote ???
This is one of those questions that we have to look into God’s Word to find the answer.
We’ll start with the one reason I’ve ever heard not to vote and that’s the knowledge that this place we live in now is not our permanent home but we should look to heaven as our final and permanent home.
Another reason I’ve heard is that God is in charge of everything and so we need not get involved.
Now — to make certain points clear right away — I know and believe that our time here on this planet is temporary and I also know that God is in charge of the final outcome of all the worldly problems we see now.
When we look to the Bible and study Gods teachings, we learn that at this present time we are living in, that Satan is in charge over the earth until Jesus comes back to take over and as Jesus time gets closer – Satan will become more aggressive in trying to steal our souls!
Now – as for the here and now – yes it’s temporary – but for the time we are here, God gives us all kinds of direction in how to live and what to watch out for.
God gives us advice on how to choose our spouse –
God gives us advice on how to pick a church –
God gives us advice on how to choose friends-
God gives us advice on how to live our lives –
God gives us advice on how to raise our children –
God gives us advice on how to avoid evil and Satan –
God tells us to fight evil and always do what is moral –
God also expects and wants us to use good judgment and common sense!
God also tells us to pray for our leaders.
Now it sounds confusing to me ??? Why would God tell me to let evil or not moral leaders in charge of things and then pray for them ???
The God of this world and the Bible is not a God of confusion and with this, I can only come to the conclusion that God would at least have me try to choose the best and most moral candidates I have a choice of and then pray God helps guide them.
When reading Exodus 18:21 — Moses is told to pick leaders that are — God-fearing, trustworthy and hate a bribe to rule over the people.
What also concerns me, is that by Christians not voting – it doesn’t give the Christian candidates much of a chance and many whom would help in keeping morals in line with God, may not even try because of the lack of Christian voter turn out.
Now — putting this aside for a minute — I go to common sense and judgment.
Why would you let evil in the church or your home and then pray for that evil ??? when God advised you to not let evil in ???
In this case with elected officials, the outcome or whom it may affect is way beyond just you and me.
It can affect the children – the unborn – the churches- the moral fabric of our country- the preaching and teaching of Gods Word and even boost Satan’s power along with Him stealing even more souls 🙁
From what I’ve seen over the last 40 years alone, Satan has taken many souls by us allowing Him to – yes – by us allowing Him to– by standing around and doing nothing!
The phrase – Evil exists and grows because good people do nothing – is a very true statement.
When they force God out of schools, it can cost the souls of many children 🙁
When they create laws and make you bring certain things or ideas into the churches that are against God’s teachings — it corrupts the church and can cause many to lose their souls! This is a bad thing 🙁
When I recite the Lord’s prayer and I come to the part that reads — Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven — it sort of gives me the feeling like I should be trying to do Gods work here on earth as He would like it done and if that means trying to place Godly and moral leaders in place, I feel it’s our duty to at least try.
None of us knows Gods timetable for the earth or the return of Jesus and none of us could change or alter anything even if we did — but — until the time comes for a truly moral and Godly leader such as Jesus, I have come to the conclusion and belief that it is our duty to fight Satan and evil wherever and whenever we can! Voting included!
I have come to these conclusions by studying God’s Word and seeing what His advice is in all areas of life.
I feel it is the duty of ALL of us to fight evil and Satan whenever and wherever we can and to promote the morals and beliefs that God has given us to not only live by but to also share with others.
I hope this has been of some help if the question of Christian voting has come up or if it was on your mind.
