Jesus Paid The Ultimate Price

A welcome to everyone on this day the Lord has given us. I wanted to go over and talk about the subject of what Jesus went through and did for all of us so we would have a chance of making it to paradise and eternal life of happiness. The simple truth and facts are that none of us stood a chance of making it through judgment with our sinful lives. A simplified explanation is this–The deal God made with Jesus was that if He took on our sins upon Himself, that we could then be saved by belief in His Son and doing our best to follow the doctrines Jesus told us to follow. Now the love both the Father and Jesus had for us to do this is beyond huge. For the Father to want to save us and give us this chance of a way out of our sinful lives and for Jesus to agree to take on our sin and what He had to do to accomplish this is LOVE at its fullest. This is what I would like you all to take in and think about! What Jesus had to do for us to get this great gift and task accomplished! If I could ask anything of you, it would be to please take the time to watch the movie- The Passion that Mel Gibson produced. It shows you some of what Jesus went through. In real life it was much worse– the Romans were the best at torture and being crucified was a horrible death, to say the least. When you see the cost that Jesus paid to get us out of our sin, it gives you a little sense of the love that Jesus had for all of us to go through this. The sins of the world are many and as such the price that needed to be paid was great. When you read about the events of the upcoming days, you see that Jesus knew what His end would be and the inner turmoil that it caused Him. Read and re-read the prayers that He and His Father had together —- how He even asked if there were any other way out of this to please let it be but that if it was His Father’s will and “our” only way out, He would go through with it. I have a personal reason for posting this and its because most of the people I come in contact with don’t think about or realize the price Jesus paid to get you out of your predicament! We were all doomed until Jesus agreed to take our place on the cross! I see people and even the churches running around with easter baskets and posters of some rabbit laying eggs and say to myself– what the #*##** is this doing in God’s house at a time we are supposed to be remembering the terrible price Jesus paid to save us! When I see this it makes me feel they are making a mockery of what Jesus went through for us. If you take the time to watch the movie the Passion and read up on the methods the Romans used to torture the victims, you will have a different look and feel on what our Lord went through for us– for you! Now on a much- much- brighter and joyous note— the next post will be on the resurrection of Jesus 🙂 The promise and hope of life after death. How on the promise the Father made– death lost its grip! Jesus has risen and our hope and promise for eternal life is fulfilled. Take care and I hope this has given you some food for thought. God bless
